Transit and thoughtful design meet in Denver multifamily project

When designers convene, creative sparks fly, and that was true when the Après Creative Group and Studio 10 Interior Design teams met a year ago at the groundbreaking for a Denver multifamily project. The two teams of designers clicked instantly, and they are each working on their portions of the project with tremendous respect for the other team’s work.

West Line Flats, a multifamily concept with a unique focus on health, broke ground last January along the Light Rail’s W line. It is one of the first apartment communities in the Denver area to earn the “Certified Healthy” designation from the Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with developer Momentum Development and premier multifamily operator Greystar, Studio 10 is the interior design firm contracted to develop the interior vibe of the amenity spaces and model apartments, while Après Creative is creating branded collateral for the property’s leasing efforts.

Over drinks, the two teams quickly realized that they shared a common love for the multifamily industry and for similar reasons.

In Studio 10’s words:

  • Multifamily is a rapidly growing market in Denver, and we love being involved in this exciting time in our community
  • We have flexibility and more freedom to express our creativity and designs by using different materials, brighter color palettes, unique furniture and art pieces to make the property stand out
  • Like designing a single-family residence, you are creating someone’s home, but it is exciting to create a space that so many people share, use and interact with

The West Line Flats comprise a five-story building with 155 units located at West 13th Ave. and Newland Street. The complex is located near the Rocky Mountain College for Art and Design (another aspect these two design teams love!).

Plans for the adjacent areas include a park; a clubhouse with fitness center, cyber cafe, yoga room and more; and two parking garages. The community is scheduled to open in May 2017, and rents will start at $1,100 for a studio apartment.
